Green Phoenix Permaculture is proud to serve as a fiscal sponsor for the development of a forthcoming book by Mark Krawczyk and Dave Jacke:

Coppice Agroforestry: Perennial Silviculture for the 21st Century

Supporting projects like this one is an important part of Green Phoenix' mission to inspire, educate, and empower people to engage and participate in the living systems of which we are a part. Imagine it now: healthier forests and woodlands sustainably producing fuel, fiber, construction materials, food, medicine, and more; revitalized economies and regenerative livelihoods. We have total faith in this work and can't wait for this amazing resource to go to print. While contract negotiations with a publisher have started, the team is seeking grants and other support to fund synthesis of research, editing, and completion of the manuscript, which will continue through Fall of 2014.

Thank you, Mark and Dave (and the whole team), for this years-long labor of love that will inspire and empower generations to come.

Consider making a tax-deductible donation to support the manuscript development phase.

From their website: "Coppice Agroforestry will serve as a detailed manual for foresters, farmers, craftspeople, and land managers describing the history, ecology, economics, design, and management of agroforestry systems based on the repeated harvest of small diameter wood products from resprouting tree stumps. Bridging ancient coppice traditions and cutting-edge agroecosystem design, Coppice Agroforestry will articulate a practical vision of forest management that integrates ecosystem health, economic viability, multi-generational tree crops, and diverse non-timber forest products."
